Jennifer Aniston On Angelina Jolie's "Uncool" Statements
In an interview in the December issue of Vogue, out November 19, Jennifer Aniston has made some spicy comments about Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt's relationship. Aniston said it was 'inappropriate' for Jolie to talk about the couple falling for each other while Brad was still married.
"There was stuff printed [in a 2007 Vogue profile] that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Jen said. "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool." Jen also discussed Angelina off the record, and the writer cryptically describes her feelings as "if there is never any love gained in the first place, there can be no love lost." In other words Aniston's comments come in as a response to Jolie's 2007 interview with the same magazine.
Pitt and Aniston announced their separation in January 2005 and in the months that followed, the actor, 44, was often seen in public with Jolie, 33. Aniston and Pitt divorced in October 2005 after nearly five years' marriage. Brad and Angelina, dubbed Brangelina in the press, did not confirm their relationship until January 2006, when Jolie told People magazine that she was pregnant with Pitt's baby.
Moreover Aniston calls her divorce "amicable." "The marriage didn't work out," she says. In fact, she doesn't even believe in life-long marriages. "Whoever said everything has to be forever, that's setting your hopes too high," she says. Brad and Jennifer still keep in touch. "We have exchanged a few very kind hellos and wishing you wells and sending you love and congratulations on your babies," she says. "I have nothing but absolute admiration for him, and…I'm proud of him!"
